Some may call me a fool,
but I say, with an inner smile
so subtle as to be invisible to the naked eye:
“In having nothing, I have it all.”

Thus I am in spirit neither a winner or a loser,
neither a success or a failure;
I am neither positive or negative,
right or wrong, good or not good;
in fact, in stilling the mind
my spirit rests neither as this or as that.

That is to say,
My spirit rests not as the conceptualized I,
the image that was born and that must die;
my spirit knows ourself as a Whole,
as the pure Intelligence who fills the open heart with Joy.

In spirit, then, in ourself as a Whole,
life’s a continuum, not a separation;
in spirit we were never born nor we will ever die,
tho’ the image will,
as all things conceived pass into oblivion.

Like clouds in the sky,
all conceptions mental and material must pass away;
but like the sky, we remain in ourself Still–
even in watching the clouds come and go;
for when the mind clings to nothing,
in having nothing, has it all.

Thus the we that I am doesn’t do meditation,
I am meditation, living meditation;
and thru every thing-event of the day
I am aware as the Stillness Within at play,
penetrating every image, even as the Divine Presence
fills my very existence with Ourself…
with Such Life that was never born and will never die.

Such Life is my refuge and my strength;
even to the ends of the earth
will I follow what’s always Now,
Ourself shining thru every thought…
the pure Being who brings Such Joy to the heart
that pride cannot but melt into naught.

Some may call me a fool,
but I say, with an inner smile
so subtle as to be invisible to the naked eye:
“In having nothing, I have it all.”
